Brief description of the activity/assessment

Students pick at least one habit of happiness to practice for the semester. They chronicle their progress in a minimum 500-word blog or 5-minute vlog that they send to the instructor. Students can alternate the habit and format (vlog or blog), but they must make connections to the readings, class lecture and discussions, and at least one outside source each time.

Rubric

Sample explanation for students about how this activity develops their digital literacies

They are permitted to make the vlogs as simple or fancy as they want so that the technology part does not overwhelm the less digitally literate. I also permit them to write a blog instead of record a video if that is easier for them.

Faculty support material

I encourage them to see previous students’ vlogs on my IG account @honeywellness
