Group Enrollment Methods in Blackboard

There are 3 ways that you can choose from to enroll students in groups:

  1. Manual Enroll: allows you to manually assign each student in your course to a group. This option is available for both creating single groups and group sets.
  2. Random Enroll: this option automatically distributes students randomly among groups based on your settings for maximum number of members per group or total number number of groups. This option is only available when creating group sets.
  3. Self-enroll: this option will allow students to add themselves to a group with a sign-up sheet. This option is available for both creating single groups and group sets.
