Brief description of the activity\/assessment<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Students work in groups to explore the Data Detox Kit<\/a>. It includes three different topics (privacy, security and wellbeing) with multiple pages to read and some activities to try. Then each group presents to the rest of the class the key things they have learned, either as a role play or as a presentation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

After this assignment, students will develop critical awareness of digital privacy, security and wellbeing risks and be able to apply more thoughtful behavior to protect their privacy and security and enhance their digital wellbeing. The assignment asks students to contextualize the tips in the Digital Detox Kit to the Egyptian context, and to promote awareness to others of the most significant risks and behaviors, so there is an element of evaluating all the possible dimensions and choosing the most salient to share, as well as thinking creatively of how to present this persuasively to others in a live presentation and a digital artifact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
