A survey conducted jointly by ACS and CLT last spring, shows otherwise. A full report on this survey will be available soon. In the meantime, here is a highlight of some of the results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A majority of students quickly felt comfortable using WebCT.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"954\" height=\"658\" src=\"https:\/\/learnhub.aucegypt.edu\/cltnewsletter\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/Picture2.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1968\" style=\"width:487px;height:auto\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>A majority of students would like to see WebCT used in their future courses.<br><br><\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"932\" height=\"857\" src=\"https:\/\/learnhub.aucegypt.edu\/cltnewsletter\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/Picture4.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1970\" style=\"width:354px;height:auto\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"872\" height=\"787\" src=\"https:\/\/learnhub.aucegypt.edu\/cltnewsletter\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/Picture3.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1969\" style=\"width:426px;height:auto\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>A representative sample of 400 students was needed, and an unexpected 1221 students responded. The survey was posted online on the students\u2019 WebCT accounts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>C. WebCT\u2019s advanced features were popular with students when used, but many instructors do not use them<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1492\" height=\"700\" src=\"https:\/\/learnhub.aucegypt.edu\/cltnewsletter\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/Picture5.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1973\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1866\" height=\"682\" src=\"https:\/\/learnhub.aucegypt.edu\/cltnewsletter\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/Picture6.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1974\" style=\"width:774px;height:auto\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>D. Despite the overall satisfaction with WebCT, students were neutral when it comes to judging its effectiveness as a learning tool.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1244\" height=\"619\" src=\"https:\/\/learnhub.aucegypt.edu\/cltnewsletter\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/Picture7.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1975\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>This is an interesting and significant result. Research by others in the last ten years has shown that technologies allow us the flexibility to try out different strategies that promote student centered learning.
